Impiricus sponsored and participated in the MM+M Transform conference on April 3rd. Impiricus’s CEO, Sandy Donaldson, joined Dr. Abrar Qureshi, President of Brown Dermatology Inc. for a fireside chat titled “Insights from the Frontlines for Enhanced Pharma and Physician Collaboration”.
During the session, Sandy Donaldson and Dr. Qureshi shared invaluable insights on how pharmaceutical organizations can strengthen their collaboration and relationships with physicians. The discussion highlighted the importance of access to medications and the critical role it plays in patient care.
“Access to medications is a critical piece. You can have all the knowledge you want. Physicians will learn, they’ll come back and they’ll utilize that when seeing a patient with certain diagnosis. But they will rapidly gravitate to medications that they can get access to through the marketplace, especially pharmacies. They may know about all the medications they can prescribe to treat a condition but they do not have access to most of them,” said Dr. Abrar A. Qureshi, MD, MPH, WARREN ALPERT FOUNDATION Professor, President of Brown Dermatology Inc, and Chair, Department of Dermatology.
The session also unveiled the results of a recent survey featuring feedback from healthcare professionals across the United States on the support they need from pharma to enhance day-to-day patient care. The survey results emphasized the necessity for improved and streamlined HCP access to educational and financial resources that facilitate treatment decisions.
